Apple Card is the traditional Apple credit card, which focuses on “simplicity, transparency and privacy.” Apple Card and iPhone, and Apple Pay are designed with the card in the iPhone’s Apple Wallet app. Apple promises a free reservation system, and the card does not pay annual and other fees, international fees, or account overdrafts. However, overdue payments will result in additional interest and unpaid expenses. Apple Card usage panel aims to enhance the user experience; uses machine learning and Apple cards to mark the card case with the merchant’s name and location. Apple wants to eliminate mystical work codes and other mixed business information.
Apple Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service. It is maintained on Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, and iPhone. Digitizes and can replace credit or debit card and transaction PINs at free sales terminals. Does not require a contactless payment terminal that is specific to Apple Pay; it works with any merchant who accepts payments without contact. Add two-factor authentication via Touch ID, Face ID, PIN, or password. Wireless communication devices and point-of-sale systems use remote communication (NFC), with integrated secure elements (eSE) to securely store payment data and perform cryptographic functions, as well as Touch Apple ID and Face ID for biometric authentication.
Apple Pay supports international payment programs – such as American Express, Visa (including Electron and V Pay), Mastercard (including Maestro), and Discover – as well as domestic payment programs by country, namely China UnionPay, JCB Japan, Cartes Bankers France, Canada Interac, Australian EFTPOS, made Saudi Arabia and Girocard Germany. Participating banks vary by region. Apple Pay can also be used to access certain public transport networks using a credit/debit card (open loop) or a special travel card such as Suica, Co Ventra Chicago transportation agency, or OMNY at MTA New York (closed link).
Credit cards and color combinations are listed according to certain categories, such as food and beverages, shopping, and entertainment. Weekly and monthly summaries will inform customers about their usual style. A unique Apple Card number is created on the iPhone and stored in the Secure Element app, a special security feature used by Apple Pay. Each function is supported by biometric security features of Face ID or Touch ID and a one-time security patch. The company also recognizes privacy because due to its unique security design and credit card privacy, the company is unable to monitor customer characteristics.
