Sugar wax is the new boss in town. With very few side effects and a lot of benefits, sugaring and using sugar wax is now something you can use to easily remove your hair. Let’s look at the pros and cons in detail below.
Sugar waxes are composed primarily of sugar and a version of citrus that functions as a preservative. In contrast, traditional wax used in salons frequently contains a variety of pretty weird synthetic chemicals. In fact, sugar wax is so safe that you can even eat it without worry. It is always much better to invest in natural ingredients than any artificial chemical products. Sugar wax in Singapore is fast becoming a go-to hair removal method frequented by many, and one of the main reasons for this is the natural ingredients that are used in the making of the wax.
Sugar waxing is highly hygienic. It is hypoallergenic and noncomedogenic, which means it will not clog your pores. The sugar paste contains so much sugar that bacteria can never find the environment to grow in the containers of this paste.
Easy to remove
Sugar wax dissolves in water. It’s simple to clean up even when it has been on the skin for some time. There’s also no sticky residue on your skin after the treatment. Simply rinse thoroughly with water or take a hot shower. When you get a traditional wax treatment, the wax can be difficult to remove from your skin. Sugar wax has the advantage of being much easier to remove from the skin.
Permanent hair removal
The hair follicle begins to deplete after you have used sugar wax a few times, and each time, the hair growth from your follicles will become more refined. Sugaring can permanently stop your hair from growing in areas where you frequently wax because it can extract the shortest hairs during the anagen phase.
Everyone who has ever had to wax worries about burns. This is because the wax is so much hotter than body temperature. However, with sugar waxing, you don’t have to worry about this. The sugar wax needs only be heated to body temperature, so there is never any risk of burning. Big red welts and scars are not your problems anymore. Because sugar wax does not adhere to living cells, you will experience less irritation. It only removes dead skin cells, which makes it less painful and leaves your skin much smoother and soft to the touch. A wax treatment that contains toxic materials, such as plasticizers, can cause your skin to become irritated and swollen for several days. Sugar wax does not need to be as hot as conventional wax, and because it is all organic, there is less soreness after treatment. The best sugar wax will cause you no harm at all. Sugarwaxed is a brand that can help you in that department.
Advice for new users
Any inflamed or infected skin should be avoided from being treated, and any irritating topicals, such as tretinoin, should be discontinued at least a few days before treatment. Isotretinoin is a drug used to treat acute cystic acne and should avoid sugaring for at least six months after the medication is finished. If you have eczema, or your skin darkens with irritation, you should avoid sugar waxing as well.
Sugar wax recipe
Combine 1 cup sugar with 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1/4 cup water. Mix all of the ingredients together in a saucepan. Place your saucepan on a burner once the ingredients have been thoroughly combined.
Increase the heat to medium-high. Bring your mixture to a temperature of between 230 and 260 degrees. Using a food thermometer is the best way to tell if your sugar is ready. If you don’t have one, pour a small tablespoon into a bowl of cold water when you see bubbles in your mixture. It’s a good sign if your sugar mixture clumps and sinks. Once it has cooled, test for consistency. You’re done cooking when it’s squishy but still holds its shape. Pour it into a glass storage container to cool completely. No need to rub hot sugar on your body! Allow it to cool completely before using it.
